This one feels a little surreal to write…

Koa & Kai Photography has been nominated for not just one, but two “Best Of 2025” awards for the Portland and the Windham Area.

To be recognized in both the heart of the city and the community that I have poured my heart into connecting with is an honor I’m holding with so much gratitude. These nominations are a reflection of the stories we’ve shared together; on sandy shores, in golden fields, by foggy lighthouses, and within the sofness and comfort of your homes.

Whether we met during your first days as a mother, exchanged laughter during your family’s annual photos, or whispered vows under a rainy sky, this is our recognition. I’ve always believed photography is a conversation between us—one built on trust, connection, and the slow, intentional act of remembering.

This is for every family who’s invited me into their world and every couple who’s let me witness their becoming.
